Dr. Georges de Korvin
Rehabilitation Physician,
User of the "L" Module,
St-Grégoire private hospital - Rennes. France. "Since September of 2008, I have been using BIOMOD-LTM in clinical routines, after having suggested the idea of such a tool in non-radiant care of scoliosis and kyphosis. I particularly appreciated the responsiveness of AXS INGENIERIE and its very competent team. They knew exactly how to respond to the clinical needs in this area, by developing this reliable device, which is easy to use.
It provides real improvement in the precision of clinical care of spinal deformations, without increasing questionable radiological testing in the health physics program. This appeals greatly to the parents of young patients of scoliosis and kyphosis, who appreciate having other objective means of screening than radiation. Patients are more receptive in follow-up consultations, and the continued adhesion to orthopedic treatments is enforced.
Biomod-L could apply similarly in the treatment of kyphosis in the cases of senior patients." Dr. Jean Legaye
Orthopaedic Surgeon,
User of the "L"Modules,
Mont-Godinne University Hospital - Yvoir. Belgique. "BIOMOD-LTM is useful in spine consultations for two reasons : the 3D morphometric report of the back shape and a lesser need for radiographic analysis.
BIOMOD-LTM 's main indication is scoliosis check-up and follow-up, during the pre- and post-treatment phases, specifically after the patient leaves the corrective corset. A radiography has to be done at the beginning of the treatment, and shall not be repeated unless an important evolution is noticed. The diagnosis of scoliotic attitude, without rotative dimension, is simplified as well.
The postural reports of back pains is another indication of BIOMOD-LTM, which allow the assessment of medical or surgical treatments. It provides clinical parameters for an objective characterization of clinical data, compared with the symptomatology. It allows therefore to identify different corrective strategies and to measure their effects in a completely safe way."
